We are seeking an experienced and business-savvy Vice President, Regulatory Affairs to lead all aspects of regulatory compliance and governance for our fintech-driven organization. This executive will own the strategy, oversight, and execution of the company’s regulatory affairs, including entity and individual licensing, municipal registrations, and surplus lines and will also evaluate regulatory risks for mergers and acquisition targets. The VP will serve as a key partner to senior leadership, ensuring the organization maintains a strong regulatory foundation while enabling innovation, market expansion, and operational excellence. This executive will work cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Business Operations to manage regulatory risks and guide regulatory change management initiatives. This role leads a team of regulatory professionals, including the Director of Licensing, and reports into the executive leadership team. Responsibilities:

Regulatory Strategy and Oversight: Lead the company’s overall regulatory affairs strategy, aligning with the company’s fintech product roadmap, corporate objectives, market expansion goals, and emerging regulatory trends. Licensing Oversight: Provide executive oversight for enterprise-wide licensing strategies and execution across all jurisdictions, ensuring compliance, timely renewals, and scalability. Surplus Lines Management: Manage surplus lines compliance, including filings, reporting, tax submissions, and adherence to state and municipal surplus lines regulations. Technology & Entity Management: Oversee the ongoing use of (and process improvements for) the company’s enterprise entity management platform, leveraging its capabilities to centralize regulatory data, automate workflows, and ensure real-time visibility into entity registrations, licensing, and compliance obligations. Regulatory Engagement: Build and maintain constructive relationships with state, federal, and international regulatory agencies, including, but not limited to, NAIC, DOIs, SEC, FINRA, FinCEN, CFPB, and industry associations. Business Enablement: Partner with Product, Operations, and Legal teams to anticipate and address regulatory requirements for new offerings and expansion opportunities. Team Leadership: Mentor, develop, and lead a high-performing regulatory team, fostering expertise, accountability, and continuous improvement. Risk Management & Reporting: Provide executive reporting to senior leadership on regulatory risks, obligations, and compliance readiness. Process Innovation: Drive adoption of technology and process improvements to create efficient, scalable regulatory operations that support growth. Education and Experience:

15+ years of progressive experience in regulatory affairs, compliance, or legal roles within insurance, insurtech, or financial services. JD, MBA, or advanced degree preferred. Deep expertise in regulatory frameworks. Proven track record of leading regulatory teams in a complex, multi-jurisdictional environment. Strong relationships with regulators and industry associations preferred. Ability to balance regulatory compliance with business growth and innovation. Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Demonstrated experience implementing or overseeing technology-enabled compliance solutions. Benefits and Perks:
