Annual Bonus and Sign-on bonus A top ENR-ranked general contractor with projects across the country is looking to hire an experienced M&E Project Manager for large-scale mission-critical and data center work. This role is based in the Northern Virginia / DC corridor, which continues to be the most active and competitive market for data center construction. Responsibilities
Take ownership of the mechanical and electrical scope from design through commissioning Manage subcontractors, vendors, and equipment procurement to keep the job moving Review QA/QC, track punch lists, and lead weekly progress checks Oversee equipment logistics including factory witness tests, delivery schedules, and start-ups Work closely with owners, design teams, and commissioning groups to maintain deadlines Monitor safety on site and step in early to resolve potential risks Keep detailed project documentation including schedules, procurement logs, cost tracking, and closeout items Qualifications 5+ years of experience managing M&E systems on mission-critical or large industrial projects Direct background with power and cooling systems such as UPS, generators, switchgear, chillers, and CRAC/CRAH units Familiarity with redundancy designs (N+1, 2N) and commissioning levels (1–5, IST) Experience with design-build and GMP delivery, including oversight of multi-million-dollar MEP budgets Strong knowledge of contracts, change orders, and pay applications Comfortable using Procore, BIM360, Bluebeam, and MS Project OSHA 30 required; PMP, PE, LEED AP or similar certifications are a plus Track record of leading teams and managing client-facing roles on complex projects Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience accepted What’s Offered Hands-on involvement in hyperscale data center projects in the busiest mission-critical market in the U.S. Compensation: $145,000 – $175,000 base + 10–15% bonus + full benefits Clear path for career growth with a nationally recognized contractor known for quality and safety Seniority level
