Overview
The Data Vantage Software Engineering team is hiring for a Software Engineer. We’re looking for a collaborative and curious software engineer to join our Application Services Engineering team, where you will help us build a unified application and service management platform for Cboe’s Data Vantage platform. This role is ideal for an engineer with experience in .NET/C# server-side development and React/Typescript (or Javascript) on the frontend. We welcome candidates who are eager to learn and work with other languages, including Python and Java, as needed. In this role, you will contribute to enhancing the Cboe Data Vantage platform, which includes financial analytics, execution, and risk management. Our scalable backend systems and React-based frontend applications are used by our associates in software engineering, operations, and customer-facing roles in all our global offices. Location: Chicago office (flex hybrid) What You’ll Do
Build & Design: Contribute to the design and implementation of full-stack applications using C#/.NET and React/TypeScript. Lead & Guide: Contribute to technical decisions, manage technical debt, and evolve architecture to meet future needs. Solve Problems: Research and resolve complex technical challenges independently and collaboratively. Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with product management and operations to understand needs and deliver thoughtful solutions. Secure & Scalable APIs: Develop REST APIs with secure authentication and authorization (OpenID Connect, OAuth). Ensure Quality: Apply best practices in testing and code reviews to maintain high standards. Optimize Performance: Analyze and tune applications for speed and efficiency. Champion Security: Use code scanning tools and update software to address vulnerabilities. Grow & Innovate: Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously improve our tech stack. What You Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 2+ years of hands-on full-stack development with C#/.NET and React/TS. Technical Skills
Proficiency in C#/.NET and ASP.NET for backend services. Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React for frontend development. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and performance optimization. Experience with RESTful APIs. Familiarity with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, and ORMs like Entity Framework. Comfortable working in both Windows and Linux environments. Other Skills
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with members of other teams, including product management and operations. Experience or familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Bonus Skills

Our pay ranges are determined by a number of factors, including role, experience, level, and location. The national new hire base pay range for this job in the United States is $97,750-$120,750. This range represents the minimum and maximum base pay the company expects to offer for new hires working in the position full time.
