Overview
Senior Associate, Product Management - Data-as-a-Service at athenahealth. We are looking for a Product Management Senior Associate who will fill a critical role in our product management team, partnering with senior business and product leadership to grow the athenaOne suite by providing cloud-native, scalable, secure database services that enable our product engineering organization to build great applications faster. This is a hybrid role based in Boston with in-office expectation of one day per week. Responsibilities
Own assigned product areas within the portfolio; understand market and customer needs, contribute to product vision, develop business cases, ensure features meet business requirements, and drive creation and delivery of the product. Serve as the Product Owner working daily with scrum teams: write user stories, prioritize product backlogs, and make trade-off decisions between scope and schedule. Collaborate with engineering to ensure delivery of high-quality, high-impact features; drive rollout and adoption in partnership with product operations and client-facing teams. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required; healthcare-related field, business, computer science, or engineering preferred 2-5 years of professional experience with cross-functional stakeholders Understanding of product management best practices, including agile development environments; healthcare/health IT environment preferred Understanding of cloud computing platforms, especially AWS; preferred Demonstrated ability to drive innovation using analytic and quantitative capabilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Behaviors & Abilities
Passion for improving healthcare with empathy for users Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills; energetic and adaptable Appreciation for the software development process and cross-functional collaboration Confident presenter to all audiences Ability to prioritize, multi-task, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and communicate potential conflicts Infrequent travel required (~5%); may include site visits, conferences, and training About Athenahealth
