Overview
Loss Prevention Manager Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) at New Balance. This working manager position is responsible for overseeing security activities and day-to-day Loss Prevention (LP) operations for the New Balance Global Operations Center under the general direction of the Loss Prevention Operations Manager. This position is based at the New Balance Headquarters and will lead and train a dedicated staff in receiving and processing incoming calls, along with monitoring, dispatching, and documenting security alarms. This role supports all NB departments. Major Accountabilities
Manage GSOC Operators for a 24/7 operation. Lead implementation of GSOC buildout (infrastructure design, software selection, systems integration, operational processes). Oversee work in a 24/7 environment monitoring various information systems, CCTV feeds, and alarm systems. Develop and revise operation center processes, protocols, and systems. Identify process and quality improvements in collaboration with the Loss Prevention Operations Manager. Provide back-up support and on-call function as necessary to mitigate scheduling conflicts. Schedule operator shifts and shift coverage. Communicate security issues or emergency situations by escalating information to department leadership, local law enforcement, emergency services (e.g., EMT, Fire Departments). Develop GSOC capabilities. Oversee maintenance and deployment of a GSOC knowledge management dashboard (e.g., SharePoint or another tool). Serve as final approver for mass notifications/critical incident communications. Conduct shift briefings to provide updates, assignments, training, and ensure operational continuity. Ensure Loss Prevention Officers respond to emergencies (medical, fire, hazardous materials, natural disasters, accidents). Provide information and tactical recommendations to leadership during incidents. Evaluate and process information from all sources; respond with appropriate communication, analytic reporting, and incident response procedures. Deliver timely metrics on performance, output, outcomes, and impact. Ensure proper management of sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality and information security practices. Manage the 24x7x365 call center schedule. Provide training, support, and supervision of GSOC personnel. Provide administrative support including payroll duties, personnel tracking, scheduling, and training. Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree with a BA preferred. 5–7 years of security experience (preferably in a control center setting) plus three years of supervisory experience required. Training experience is a plus. Training in security and safety aspects of industrial environments required. Proficiency in Loss Prevention regulations (Security and Fire Protection). Excellent communication skills; ability to speak or understand Spanish is an advantage. Familiarity with CCTV, Access Control, and alarm equipment. PC proficiency with Word and Excel; some knowledge of CAD is helpful. Current EMT or First Aid/CPR Certification is helpful. Valid driver’s license; on-call 24/7 via cell phone; member of Emergency Response Team. Experience delivering excellent customer service while handling a high volume of calls. Benefits and Work Model
