Salary: $2058 / Week
Overview The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs tests for patient diagnosis, progress or deterioration and medical research. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist prepares and gives radiopharmaceuticals to patients when indicated and uses high-level imaging equipment to record images of the radioactive material in the patient’s body. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist works in collaboration with physicians to provide the images for interpretation to study and diagnose a medical condition. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist gives doses of radiation to patients internally to treat various medical conditions when prescribed by a physician. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist participates in a variety of technical tasks, tests and determinations involving the utilization of radioactive materials and measurement instrumentation.
Minimum Requirements
Level I & II
Graduate of an AMA approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program and/or meets all state required educational & licensing/certification standards.
Level II Position Requirements: Possesses at least two years of experience in the Nuclear Medicine field • One –two years prior supervisory or Team Lead experience.
Current CPR if applicable
TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
