Responsibilities
To meet the needs by having knowledge of surgical procedures, preparing supplies, equipment, and instrumentation for surgical cases. Anticipates the needs in the surgical field when passing instruments, and assists the surgical team in all procedures. The surgical technician is responsible for their case cleanup, patient positioning, moving patients, and room turnovers.
Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalency
Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or degree from an accredited nursing program or equivalent
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
