Overview Job Title: Quality Control Inspector

Job Description

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for performing inspections and analyzing data as required by work instructions, Inspection Masters, and specifications. You must proficiently use precision measuring instruments, gauges, and tools necessary for checking intricate parts. This role involves inspecting developmental, first run production parts, in-process, and final inspections, including visual inspections under a microscope. You will layout and inspect parts that involve compound angles, reverse contours, and coordinated dimensions across multiple planes to ensure adherence to dimensional specifications. Additionally, you will prepare rejection tags and Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMR) noting any deviations from specifications in dimensions, finishes, materials, processes, or quality. Collaborating with team members to clarify drawings and specifications, making detailed calculations, and approving acceptable parts while completing necessary paperwork are also part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections and analyze data as per work instructions and specifications.

Use precision measuring instruments, gauges, tools, and set-ups for intricate parts.

Conduct developmental, first run production parts, in-process, and final inspections.

Perform visual inspections under a microscope.

Layout and inspect parts involving complex angles and contours.

Prepare rejection tags and Non-Conformance Material Reports (NCMR).

Collaborate with colleagues to clarify drawings and specifications.

Make detailed calculations as required.

Approve acceptable parts and complete necessary paperwork.

Essential Skills

Three years of experience in quality control or related work.

Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.

Ability to work with tools and measure under a microscope for 50% of the shift.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in the medical field, specifically working with catheters or small tubing, is a plus.

Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).

Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Menlo Park, California.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
