Overview
Supply Chain Services Distribution Specialist (PRN). The incumbent supports, maintains, and distributes inventory to par locations of medical supplies and equipment to nursing units and other user areas as assigned to fill electronic and manual requisitions, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and the hospital's philosophy, policies, procedures and standards. Responsibilities
Support and maintain accurate product needs, inventories and replenish supplies located on nursing units and other user areas based on par levels established. Maintain Par Locations with up-to-date labels; identify demand changes and perform activities essential to maintaining an accurate and clean area of supplies. Recognize and communicate changes in supply needs; report recommendations to supervisor and adapt to changes as needed. Process non-automated supply requests for supplemental inventory to replenish an assigned area, including open shelf par cart and supplemental items based on unit needs. Deliver medical equipment and supplies to and from usage areas as assigned. Conduct physical inventory of assigned areas on a routine basis to maintain accurate data within the systems used for par carts and inventory management. Collaborate with Storeroom Staff for departmental needs, yearly inventory, data entry, and general storeroom maintenance as required. Maintain accurate daily paper and electronic records of all Storeroom and inventory transactions; verify order accuracy and document discrepancies. Clean, maintain, and deliver medical equipment and its storage areas following established procedures. Maintain a safe and clean work environment across all assigned areas, including break area, storeroom, par locations and related spaces. Demonstrate Commitment to Caring and participate in patient safety standards and related tasks. Assume other duties appropriate to the position as needed. This description is not all-inclusive. Education
High School Diploma or GED required Experience
1-2 years Warehouse experience preferred Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Ability to adapt to a healthcare environment; effective oral and written communication. Ability to adapt to change and solve problems. Ability to perform mathematical functions and read. Basic computer skills preferred. Hiring range: $20.15 - $20.17 Seniority level
