40 Hours (Full Time) - Day Shift Location

This position will support our Sibley Memorial Hospital in NW DC, and our Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD. 3 days a week in office, 2 days remote. Role

Inventory Planner

reports to the Inventory Planning Manager, and is responsible for the development and maintenance of effective forecasting models based on industry trends and demand patterns for the Supply Chain product catalogue. The analyst will conduct monthly forecast maintenance for product groupings and support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities related to product groupings; propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy. This position will communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management and address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner. Responsibilities

Performs regular inventory counts. Suggets changes to inventory warehousing to meet increased or reduced demand. Maintains and improves the company's inventory situation by analyzing inventory statistics to determine sales of products. Places inventory orders and tracks shipments. Drafts inventory reports that document inventory counts, discrepancies, and other statistical data. Reports inventory statistics to management and suggests improvements to inventory control. Coordinates with other workers to resolve discrepancies between inventory and revenue. Maintains inventory databases and systems for accurately managing inventory. Assists with the analysis of and anticipation of market trends for the best time to purchase inventory. Skills

Knowledge of Supply Chain ERP systems and Manhattan SCALE. Solid understanding of inventory management practices and policies. Basic mathematical and statistical knowledge. Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions from, and to write and present inventory reports. Strong analytical, time-management, and problem-solving skills. Education

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Management, Supply Chain or Logistics Management. Additional experience may be substituted for education. Work Experience

2 years of professional experience required, preferably in Supply Chain, Inventory Planning or related field within a healthcare setting. Compensation

Salary Range: Minimum 28.47/hour - Maximum 47.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. Notes
