Cloud Governance Manager
to lead the development and enforcement of governance frameworks, policies, and standards to safeguard sensitive data, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive operational efficiency. This is an
individual contributor role
— ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in cloud governance and data protection, combined with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical solutions across the business. Governance Frameworks:
Develop and implement policies using tools such as Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Data Lifecycle Management, Data Loss Prevention, iManage Threat Manager, and Varonis. Data Retention & Classification:
Enforce controls for compliance and business needs. Security & Privacy Controls:
Validate and review controls to protect sensitive data. Training & Enablement:
Provide best practice guidance to business teams. Collaboration:
Work with legal, IT, and compliance stakeholders to design secure solutions. Integration:
Align with Information Governance, Security Architecture, and GRC teams. Cloud Expertise:
Act as a governance leader for Office 365 and other cloud platforms. Required Skills & Competencies 7+ years in IT, information security, and risk management. Proven experience with
Microsoft Purview
and related governance tools. Broad technical knowledge of
cloud security, data governance, and security architectures . Familiarity with frameworks:
NIST, CSF, ISO 27001 . Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Highly regulated industry experience preferred. Professional certifications (CISA, CISM, CISSP, CRISC, GSEC) are a plus. Competitive compensation:
