Job Summary

The MRI Technologist II produces images for medical diagnosis by performing a variety of magnetic resonance imaging procedures. Explains procedures to patients/families and assists radiologist in administering medications. May prepare patient for imaging by administering contrast IV and non-IV. Technologists focus on infant, children, and adolescent patients, as well as adults as needed. All imaging staff must be able to address family and patient concerns to help facilitate a Family Centered Care approach. Pay Range

Minimum $50.40 Midpoint $66.78 Maximum $83.16 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements. Experience

Required: Minimum one (1) year of outpatient and/or acute care MRI technologist experience with six (6) months in a pediatric setting. Preferred: One (1) year of acute care MRI technologist experience in a pediatric inpatient hospital. Education

Required: Graduate from an approved education program in Radiologic Technology or MRI. Preferred: None Training

Required: American Reg Rad Tech - Magnetic Resonance (ARRT-MR) certification is expected to be obtained within 12 months of assuming position; Basic Life Support (BLS); Venipuncture Certificate. Preferred: Certified Radiologic Tech - CA; American Reg Rad Tech - Radiography (ARRT-R). Work Environments - Functional Demand
