Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC’s), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8.
This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community.
Responsibilities : We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Full-Time Day Shift) to provide a safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy.
Our ideal candidate will provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team, working alongside other medical staff to ensure a safe and smooth delivery process, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with epidurals, and providing support during childbirth.
In addition to their clinical responsibilities, labor and delivery nurses also have the role of educating and supporting parents about newborn care, breastfeeding, and recovery after childbirth.

Requirements :
Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
ACLS, NRP (or obtained within three months of employment)
BLS
DC RN License
Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
Fetal Monitoring and Training Basic Dysrhythmia Class
Requirements specified for specialty unit
Skills :
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities
