Facilities Engineer , you will provide technical oversight of facility designs, ensuring compliance with FAA standards for power, HVAC, cabling, and physical infrastructure required to support ATC systems. This role offers an opportunity to directly influence the reliability and modernization of facilities that enable the FAA's mission-critical operations. In this position, you will:
Provide technical oversight of facility designs to ensure compliance with FAA standards for power, HVAC, cabling, and infrastructure. Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and contractor deliverables for facility construction or upgrades. Collaborate with FAA stakeholders, project managers, and subcontractors to integrate ATC system requirements into facility designs. Conduct site inspections and assessments to verify installation quality and compliance with design standards. Monitor facility performance, identify potential issues, and recommend enhancements for resiliency and efficiency. Support planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities for infrastructure projects. Maintain accurate documentation, as-built drawings, and compliance reports. Promote energy efficiency, safety, and best practices in all facility engineering activities. Facilities Engineer , you will safeguard the physical foundations of U.S. aviation, ensuring that every facility upgrade or modernization meets the FAA's rigorous requirements. Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship Required. Must have the ability to obtain / maintain a Public Trust clearance. Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience or Master's degree and 6 years or Associate's degree and 10 years experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years experience. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, power distribution, cabling standards, and building infrastructure. Experience reviewing technical designs and contractor work for compliance with standards. Familiarity with regulatory and safety frameworks for critical infrastructure. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Background in physical security standards for critical infrastructure facilities. Preferred Qualifications: Exposure to FAA programs or NAS systems. Familiarity with FAA systems, ATC environments, or federal modernization programs. Professional Engineer (PE) license or certifications in facility management or building systems. Experience with sustainable building practices, LEED standards, or energy-efficient systems. Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools. Target Salary Range:
$80,000 - $128,000 EEO:
