A leading global company is seeking an experienced
Managing Counsel – Claims & Litigation
to oversee litigation, employment law, and claims management across North America. This senior role will drive strategy, oversee outside counsel, and partner with executives to proactively reduce risk while supporting the business’s growth. Key Responsibilities: Lead all aspects of litigation, arbitration, and pre-litigation matters, including employment, commercial disputes, and liability claims. Provide strategic advice and training on employment law, compliance, and claim prevention. Support labor relations, including union matters, grievances, and collective bargaining agreements. Partner with brokers and carriers on insurance coverage, claims, and policy issues. Drive compliance initiatives and risk management strategies to reduce exposure while enabling business goals. Regularly advise executives and present on risk, strategy, and budget for the litigation workstream. Qualifications: J.D. from an accredited law school; active bar membership (Georgia preferred). 10+ years of relevant experience at a top law firm and/or in-house legal department. Deep experience with litigation and employment law, with strong business judgment. Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with senior leadership. Proven ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and deliver practical solutions. Strong executive presence and presentation skills. This attorney will report to the VP, Deputy General Counsel, and work very closely with the labor and employment team. This role offers a hybrid schedule.
