$63,046.00/yr - $79,734.00/yr The Communications Coordinator leads and manages strategic communications initiatives that connect with staff, patients, community partners, and stakeholders. This role works collaboratively with the Chief Communications & Experience Officer (CCXO) and Communications team to produce high-quality content, lead projects, and support organizational initiatives. This role is primarily located in Midtown - Sacramento, CA (95811). This role allows a hybrid schedule requiring 2-3 days per week on site. Essential Functions

Content Creation & Management

Develop engaging written, visual, and multimedia content for internal and external communications. Create press releases, media pitches, blog posts, newsletters, and social media content. Create and distribute content across digital and print platforms (intranet, website, newsletters, lobby monitors, etc.). Manage and grow presence on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Youtube, Twitter/X, Google Reviews, etc.). Ensure brand consistency in alignment with organizational identity guidelines. Public Relations & Advocacy

Manage media relations efforts and serve as primary liaison in coordinating with journalists and outlets. Lead advocacy campaigns, calls-to-action, and storytelling to elevate patient and community voices. Monitor communications trends and propose creative strategies. Graphic Design & Digital Communications

Create graphics, templates, and visual content for digital and print platforms. Manage digital platforms, including website and intranet content. Track engagement metrics and prepare communications reports. Marketing & Event Planning

Lead planning, promotion, and execution of staff, patient, and community events. Develop marketing campaigns and collateral. Oversee logistics and communications for organizational initiatives. Collaborate with departments on targeted outreach campaigns. Collaboration & Teamwork

Work cohesively with the Communications team and other departments across the organization. Provide cross-departmental support to ensure consistent messaging. Field requests from departments for communications support. Represent the Communications Department with professionalism and a solution-oriented approach. Minimum Requirements

Expertise in the following areas, typically gained through 3–4 years in a highly performing communications capacity, preferably in a nonprofit or healthcare setting. Strong written, verbal, and social media communication skills Proficient with Microsoft Office, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Salesforce, and Sprout Social Strong organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities Experience in event planning, public/media relations, or advocacy communications a plus Current driver's license and car insurance Preferred Background

Bilingual Spanish/English is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field, or equivalent experience. Ability to collaborate effectively across a broad spectrum of backgrounds and perspectives.
