Develop, coordinate and deliver HR programs and services to campus employees in onboarding, learning and organizational development, workforce planning, performance management, professional development, policy and procedure implementation, and labor/employee relations. Collaborate with District Office leadership (Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Labor Relations, Employee Services and HRIS) and oversee strategic HR initiatives for the college. Contribute to organizational goals related to SEM, Equity, and strategic plans; provide consultative services to college leadership on workforce issues. Develop and implement HR processes and procedures compliant with institutional standards, accreditation (HLC) and related requirements. Participate in budgeting with college administrators and senior managers; assist in packaging and submission of the annual operating budget. Supervise HR staff and coordinate HR services with District HR. Lead recruitment and talent management strategies to attract and retain a diverse, skilled workforce. Administer employee recognition initiatives to improve workplace culture and engagement. Provide guidance on employee relations, disciplinary actions, union grievances, and compliance with collective bargaining agreements and laws. Foster diversity and inclusive collaboration; analyze workforce data to inform decisions. Manage HR processes such as faculty lane changes, reclassifications, new positions, and other personnel actions. Oversee performance management, coaching, and development plans with managers. Respond to data requests from agencies and external organizations; manage HR projects. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field Master’s degree strongly preferred PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred Five years of experience as HR Generalist/HR Manager in a fast-paced environment Leadership and supervisory experience in HR; experience in a highly unionized environment preferred Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies and large-scale initiatives Strong communication and partnership-building skills with senior leaders Commitment to diversity and meeting HR objectives Knowledge of federal/state employment laws; ability to work under pressure Ability to work independently and in a diverse environment Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; strong organizational and analytical skills Proficiency with HRMS/ATS systems (PeopleSoft, Taleo) a plus; Microsoft Office proficiency Salary Range: $104,775 – $115,000. Offered salary will be determined by education, knowledge, skills and abilities, and internal equity.
