IT Infrastructure Engineer Expert

Job Description The Red Gate Group is seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer (Expert) to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) in Washington, DC. This position supports CIO-6, which manages and operates JWICS. The role will contribute to the JWICS Modernization initiative by providing expert-level solutions integration engineering and technical support, including infrastructure design, system performance optimization, and strategic planning for networking, storage, security, and data center operations. Responsibilities: Review and examine existing infrastructure system performance for potential bottlenecks For any identified infrastructure issues/bottlenecks, name possible solutions, and work with developers/engineers to apply those fixes Plan the overall design of infrastructure information and operational support systems Engage in the planning/engineering of solutions/strategies for networking, storage/backup, redundancy, security and data center operations Assist in the development of strategies for the configuration, testing, maintenance, and installation of application software, system hardware, system management tools, and operating systems Continually work to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability Consult with vendors and other IT personnel as needed for the development of problem resolution strategies specifically relating to IT infrastructure Qualifications: Qualifications Active TS/SCI (CI Poly Preferred) Demonstrated ability to define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions Demonstrated leadership and expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing techniques aligned with labor category mission Demonstrates extensive ability to provide strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to organizational senior leadership and policymakers Minimum 12 years of experience conducting analysis relevant to IT with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years Master's degree Additional Information The Red Gate Group, Ltd. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
