About The Team Capital One’s Small Business Bank Data Modernization team is building a data destination of platforms, products, and processes that is well-managed and easy to govern, and where data is easy to find, understand, and use to enable real-time intelligent experiences. We excel in building, and supporting adoption of, scalable data tools and products as we build towards a modern, real-time, data environment. The Senior Manager, Product Manager for the Small Business Bank Data Modernization team plays a critical people leadership role in achieving our goals. This individual will lead and mentor a team of product managers in building our universe of data products covering our most used data for our data consumers; analysts, engineers, data scientists, product managers, and business partners. This role is crucial for transforming the data experience for all of our customer personas across Small Business Bank and will play a leading role in shaping local and partner roadmaps as we define shared capabilities that can be scaled across our line of business, and Enterprise. In this role, you’ll be expected to demonstrate proficiency in five key areas which we consider to be the foundation for successful Product management: Human Centered - Obsesses about internal and external customer needs to reimagine and innovate product solutions. Business Focused - Delivers game-changing outcomes by focusing on leverage and execution excellence. Technology Driven - Leverages technology to deliver innovative and resilient solutions that enable both near term and long term value, specifically within a modern data ecosystem (e.g., cloud-based data platforms, APIs, real-time data flows). Integrated Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves complex problems to deliver outcomes while mitigating product risks, including those related to data quality, data governance, and data pipeline efficiency. Transformational Leadership - Leads and develops cross-functional teams to solve customer problems and drive organizational alignment, championing data-driven decision making and fostering a culture of data literacy. This includes direct management and mentorship of product managers. Basic Qualifications: At least 5 years of experience working in Product Management At least 2 years of experience leading and managing a team of product managers Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining one of the following with an expectation that the required degree will be obtained on or before the scheduled start date: A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration Preferred Qualifications: Experience translating business and/or data strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products. Deep understanding of data management principles, data governance frameworks, and data lifecycle management. Experience with large-scale data platforms, data warehousing, data lakes, or real-time data streaming technologies. Proven ability to define and drive multi-year product roadmaps. Experience collaborating with product managers, data analysts, data scientists, and data engineers as both data producers, and consumers.
