Job Description
CHEP USA is hiring a strategic leader to oversee our national operations network—including plant performance, transportation, compliance, and workforce strategy across CHEP-run and third-party facilities. In this high-impact role, you’ll drive network optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement while leading cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Planning, Zero Harm, and Quality teams. With full P&L responsibility, you’ll shape supply chain initiatives, develop high-performing teams, and champion Lean and Six Sigma practices to deliver measurable results. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate in defining the broader Supply Chain strategy and ensure its adoption and implementation across the region, tailoring it to meet local market demands. Supervise compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring Zero Harm principles are embedded throughout supply chain operations. Oversee the regional supply chain budget, ensuring cost-effective management while meeting operational and service delivery goals. Manage in-region supply chain operations, ensuring full alignment with local market requirements and optimizing asset utilization. Oversee production site management, including identifying suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of plant(s). Collaborate with Carrier/Transportation Management to develop and implement transportation solutions that improve efficiency and service levels. Ensure optimal stock balance and maximize asset productivity at plants, supporting the overall supply chain objectives and operational targets. Location and Details
Location: United States (National Scope) - Remote US Based. Travel: 50% and must be close to a major airport. Industry: Supply Chain & Logistics. Territory: Western US – 9 states – 4 TPM sites and 22 3PL sites - 4 Direct Reports. What You’ll Lead
Full accountability for plant operations: sort, repair, heat treat, and CHEP pallet handling. Transportation strategy and execution across the network. Network optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives. P&L responsibility for CHEP managed TPM (customer on site locations), and third-party operations. Strategic workforce planning and employee retention programs. Safety leadership across all facilities, championing our Zero Harm culture. Cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Planning, Quality, Zero Harm, and Engineering teams. Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOL, etc.). Implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and value stream mapping to eliminate waste and drive efficiency. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred). 10–12+ years in senior supply chain/operations leadership roles. 8–10 years of people management experience, including multi-level teams. Proven success in large-scale budget management and supplier/customer relationship development. Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. P&L Responsibility with strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and executive-level communication. Why Join Us
