The spirit of DIY and customization runs throughout every element of Slate, because people should have control over how their trucks look, feel, and represent them. | WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR We are seeking a dynamic Head of Logistics to shape and execute Slate's logistics strategy, driving efficient inbound and outbound processes and building a high-performing team within our Purchasing & Supply Chain organization. This leader will champion a "roll up the sleeves" mindset, delivering fast, frugal, and scrappy solutions in a fast-paced environment toward production. Responsibilities

Design and implement cost-effective, scalable inbound and outbound logistics strategies to support Slate's EV production goals. Drive fast, frugal, and scrappy approaches to optimize supply chain efficiency in a startup environment. Align logistics strategies with purchasing, planning, quality, and finance to ensure seamless operations. Build and lead a high-performing logistics team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and hands-on problem-solving. Mentor and develop team members to grow skills in logistics and supply chain management. Instill a hands-on mindset, leading by example to achieve ambitious goals. Source, evaluate, and implement a Transportation Management System (TMS) and integrate with ERP and other supply chain tools. Drive adoption of automation and technology solutions to reduce costs and improve efficiency. Create and refine logistics processes for inbound material flow, outbound distribution, and inventory management. Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance. Develop and manage relationships with logistics providers, carriers, and third-party partners; negotiate contracts to optimize costs and performance. Monitor vendor performance with KPIs to ensure accountability and continuous improvement. Collaborate with procurement, operations, logistics, and finance to align systems and processes with business needs. Provide executive-level visibility through metrics, dashboards, and a clear improvement roadmap. What you bring

Bachelors in Supply Chain, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred. 15+ years of experience in supply chain operations, purchasing, systems, or analytics. Strong knowledge of ERP platforms and supply chain technologies. Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Proficiency in SQL, Excel, or similar tools for data management and analysis. Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects and system implementations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes. Key Competencies
