The

Assistant Director of Academic Affairs

works with the Director of Academic Affairs in the Center for Security Studies (CSS)/Security Studies Program (SSP) to provide student advising, registration, and related academic support to approximately 150-200 of the 550+ SSP graduate students. This position is also responsible for academic record management and is one of the primary points of contact for GU Experience at SSP. By fostering a supportive and structured environment, the Assistant Director plays an important role in ensuring student success and a smooth path toward graduation. Work Interactions

The Assistant Director of Academic Affairs reports to the Director of Academic Affairs. Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of professional experience in academic advising or closely related field. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills and a commitment to outstanding customer service are essential.
