Position Summary
The Arizona Heart Foundation is seeking a Program Director – Cardiac/Vascular Ultrasound to oversee and manage the academic and clinical components of the Cardiac/Vascular program. This leadership role is responsible for assisting the Director of Education in curriculum development, student outcomes, and ensuring compliance with institutional, state, and accreditation standards (ABHES, ARDMS, and CCI guidelines). The Program Director serves as the academic and professional leader of the program, working closely with faculty, clinical affiliates, and executive leadership to maintain the highest level of educational excellence and student success. Key Responsibilities
Provide academic and operational leadership for the Cardiac/Vascular program. Daily instructor for Cardiac/Vascular Program in didactic and hands-on laboratory. Develop, review, and update curriculum to ensure alignment with accreditation standards and industry best practices. Ensure student learning outcomes meet or exceed credentialing and employment requirements. Assist to establish and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers for student clinical placements. Monitor student progress, provide mentorship, and enforce academic and clinical standards. Participate in community outreach, including complimentary cardiovascular screenings and health education initiatives. Qualifications
Required: Current registry in both Cardiac (RCS or RDCS) and Vascular (RVS or RVT) through CCI or ARDMS. Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience as a cardiac/vascular sonographer. Preferred: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Minimum of 2 years of teaching or leadership experience in an accredited ultrasound program. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
