Greets patients and assists with patient flow Administers medications, performs procedures directed by physician and practitioners Assists with preparatory activities such as taking and documenting vital signs and communicates abnormalities to physician or practitioner Reviews and documents patient medical history including medications, allergies, and medical alerts, documents in the electronic medical record Contacts patients with lab and test results and indicates required follow-up as directed Documents all medical contacts Assists physician and practitioners with relaying instructions to patients and families Replenishes supplies and removes biohazard waste from patient rooms as directed Maintains necessary logs Participates in professional development activities to keep current with job responsibilities Follows health care privacy and safety rules and adheres to Dayton Physicians Core Values Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Active LPN license in the state(s) of practice One (1) year of previous experience as an LPN 2-4 years’ experience is preferred Current CPR certification, or obtain within 60 days of employment and kept current thereafter Job Information
