Join a growing Cloud Platform team within a premier financial services firm, contributing to the development and modernization of a global SaaS solution. The Sr. Cloud Engineering Developer will work in an Agile environment to migrate legacy applications, add new features, and support cloud-native development using Java, Spring Boot, Azure, and modern DevOps tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable components using Java (Spring Boot).
Collaborate with QA teams to test and validate components.
Analyze legacy applications and create technical design documents.
Develop application architecture, technical stories, and documentation.
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
Lead debugging and troubleshooting efforts.
Mentor junior developers and support issue resolution.
Work with cross-functional GFO teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Must-Have Requirements:
7+ years of Java development (Java 17+).
Understanding of how to move data through complex systems
Docker
Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security.
Experience with relational (Azure SQL, Oracle, Snowflake) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis).
Familiarity with Kafka, JUnit, Mockito.
Basic understanding of IaC (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines.
Strong SDLC understanding – including Agile, testing, and release management.
Preferences / Nice to Have:
UI experience with ReactJS.
Experience with SonarQube, Checkmarx, CAST.
Financial services or wealth management industry background.
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Confluence.
Cloud certification (Azure or AWS).
