UW Medicine IT Services (ITS)
is a shared services organization that supports all of UW Medicine. UW Medicine is comprised of Harborview Medical Center (HMC), UW Medical Center-Montlake Campus (UWMC-Montlake), UW Medical Center-Northwest Campus (UWMC-NW), Valley Medical Center (VMC), UW Medicine Primary Care (UWMPC), UW Physicians (UWP), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and Airlift Northwest (ALNW). ITS is responsible for the ongoing support and maintenance of the infrastructure and applications which support all these institutions, along with the implementation of new services and applications that are used to support and further the UW Medicine mission. Position Highlights

Communicating with customers, performing detailed requirements analysis Analyzing work process flows and technical solutions to bridge the gap between current and future state Systems and process design and development Participating in training and staff development Supporting system standardization and optimization Supporting workflow analysis and redesign, and conducting gap analysis to identify opportunities to improve system and user efficiency Providing knowledge of new enhancements and functionality to end users Acting as a liaison between the clinical teams and ITS Contributing to project strategy, solution implementation, and coordinating with key stakeholders Documenting requirements for sign-off, communication, and test script development Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in applicable clinical area of practice 3+ years of clinical experience in an inpatient and/or ambulatory health care setting, using electronic health record systems, to include: Quality Assurance experience through SDLC or project Customer and clinical staff consulting experience Experience eliciting customer requirements to respond to customer needs Demonstrated strong business acumen, showing understanding of customers, applications, and project team skill level Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and ambiguity Demonstrated adult education/training skills with a variety of audiences and computer skill levels Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation, documentation, and analytical writing skills Demonstrated understanding of hospital, ambulatory, and post-acute care operations, interdepartmental processes, and interdisciplinary interactions and workflows in the healthcare setting Strong project management, change management, and team building skills About UW Medicine – Where Your Impact Goes Further
