Restorative Justice Coordinator, Community School (P.S 306) – CAMBA CAMBA is seeking a Restorative Justice Coordinator to support the PS 306 Ethan Allen Community School as a school-based program. The role involves organizing resources, integrating social services within the school, and advancing social-emotional learning and restorative practices through partnership with school staff, students, families, and community organizations. What The Restorative Justice Coordinator Does

Foster respectful, professional relationships with students and school staff, maintaining confidentiality in all matters related to students. Follow Universal Precautions and Standard Protocols; ensure compliance with Federal, State, City, and CAMBA privacy and security policies. Actively participate in the School Attendance team to design and implement strategies aimed at improving student attendance, aligning efforts with the school. Coordinate student and parent workshops in restorative justice. Develop and implement strategic plans for the Restorative Justice program, supporting its execution while actively participating in the school attendance team to enhance student attendance and align with school needs. Work directly with students struggling with chronic issues; provide multi-tiered support for students facing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges. Collaborate with success mentors to identify at-risk students for timely interventions. Collaborate with staff to develop tailored solutions to improve student outcomes; collaborate with the Counseling Team in the implementation of Tier 2 and Tier 3 behavior. Track student intervention and progress in collaboration with the cohort; analyze behavioral and attendance data to guide individual interventions with the school. Develop and implement lesson plans that support social-emotional learning (SEL). Collaborate with school administration and staff to conduct needs assessments of students, families, and the school community. Design and update a monthly interactive SEL bulletin board to promote key concepts such as self-awareness, social awareness, and responsible decision-making. Establish and facilitate teams of school stakeholders responsible for implementing the restorative program; organize restorative practices training for key school staff. Ensure restorative justice practices are inclusive and responsive to the diverse cultural and racial backgrounds of the community. Collaborate with the Pupil Personnel Team and Student Intervention staff; mentor students by setting academic, behavioral, and social goals. Input and maintain accurate student data in the database; analyze data to guide interventions. Oversee students during breakfast and lunch; ensure student records, case notes, and attendance logs are accurate and up-to-date. Assist in organizing school-wide activities that promote a positive school climate; prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on program performance. Support student leadership by co-advising student organizations and facilitating extracurricular activities. Address disciplinary issues promptly and escalate concerns to appropriate school personnel; organize and oversee student group activities in a structured, supportive environment. Provide logistical support for school operations; assist with tracking attendance, sign-in for late arrivals, and communication with parents/guardians regarding student safety. Duties evolve or expand based on program needs, with additional responsibilities assigned as needed. Minimum Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in psychology, Education, Social Work, or related field. Other Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in child development or a similar area; experience in school-based or youth services settings is strongly preferred. Strong administrative skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and database management. Familiarity with Restorative Practices and demonstrated expertise in facilitating groups of school-based staff. Cultural competence with a racial justice lens; belief in youth development and youth leadership. Child supervisory experience is preferred. Compensation

$47,000 annually Status
