Overview

Overnight Support Services Associate I at Seattle's Union Gospel Mission. Responsible for maintaining facility safety, order, and cleanliness and providing backup assistance to other staff. Responsibilities

Perform janitorial duties, including duties left over from a different shift. Assess and record safety hazards and maintenance needs. Perform random and frequent walks through the interior of the building and record the evening report in the staff log at the end of each shift. Handle issues that may arise with individuals during an overnight shift (if applicable). Conduct occasional room checks or searches as needed. Respond to emergency calls on the overnight phone (if applicable). Assist with a variety of administrative duties. Backup Guest Services by performing Breathalyzer tests and Urine Analysis drug screens for individuals entering the building after curfew or returning from the hospital (as required). Handle office telephones and monitor incoming people. Record and organize messages for clients and staff; provide referrals when necessary. Participate in organizational meetings, training, and initiatives as required. Perform other duties to support the Mission’s success. Qualifications

Acknowledge and sign the Mission's Statement of Faith (see below). A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Staying awake during overnight hours (if assigned) is required. Customer service experience is highly preferred. Previous janitorial experience is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Work Schedule and Compensation

Scheduled: Wednesday - Sunday 10:00 pm - 6:30 am. Target starting pay: $20.89. Shift differential: $1.00. Work Environment

The role is primarily in a temperature-controlled environment. Requires standing, balancing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and reaching. Frequently lift up to 30 pounds and navigate multiple floors. Vision requirements include close, color, distance, and depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Pre-Employment
