Apex is seeking a Principal Engineer/Senior Technical Leader. This opportunity is remote. Responsibilities
Serve as senior technical lead on cumulative projects which total $2 to $5 million annually. Contribute to successful business development of new clients and projects at greater than $1 million annually. Write and review technical reports and proposals. Assist with project management activities. Augment a busy established practice in groundwater/soil characterization and remediation. Identify and develop successful client relationships and new business development opportunities with public and private clients on local, regional or national basis; business development of $400,000 annual revenue. Mentor and train scientific staff and ensure quality work product. Actively develop your own career growth. What We\'re Looking For
BS in Engineering; Master\'s degree preferred. Minimum 15 years of experience with environmental/remediation services, including technical writing, technical oversight, project management, business development, and staff management. Experience with oil & gas, manufacturing industries, utilities, landfills, and chlorinated solvent sites highly desired; PRP groups municipalities (preferred). Current California PE (required). Proven track record in business development and project management (required). Proven track record of mentoring and developing staff (preferred). Strong technical writing skills, ability to multi-task, safety awareness, and good understanding of safe work practices. 40-hour HAZWOPER certification. Valid driver\'s license and personal vehicle required. Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with Deltek Vision is preferred. Why You\'ll Love Working For Us
