Central Baptist College
The Director of Financial Aid shall report directly to the Vice-President for Enrollment Management.
General Responsibilities
The Director of Financial Aid is a critical position within the Central Baptist College (CBC) institution, serving as a strategic partner for the Vice-President of Enrollment Management, overseeing and administering a robust financial aid program that consists of federal, state, institutional, and endowed funds.
Specific Responsibilities
The Director of Financial Aid shall:
In partnership with the Vice President for Enrollment Management, Director of Admissions, and Director of Marketing, develop an enrollment management strategy to leverage the use of institutional financial aid and effective communication strategies for prospective students and parents.
Act as chief financial aid administrator, providing direction and supervision of all financial aid operations while being mindful of maintaining a service-oriented Financial Aid Office.
Ensure that Central Baptist College maintains eligibility for all financial aid programs while providing critical financial aid information to college personnel, students, and families.
Be responsible for maintaining Title IV Participation agreement with the U.S. Department of Education. Submit new programs for approval and ensure compliance with Title IV aid programs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.
Administer satisfactory academic progress (SAP) evaluation and oversee appeal process for students seeking reinstatement of financial aid eligibility.
Monitor enrollment reports to identify students subject to Return of Title IV aid policy. Calculate aid earned, make necessary adjustments, and notify students and accounts receivable of outcome.
Manage department budget, monitor and approve departmental expenditures, monitor and reconcile Federal and State aid accounts.
Coordinate financial aid workshops on campus and at area high schools (FAFSA workshops) in collaboration with admissions staff.
Seek to develop and maintain critical internal and external relationships as an effort to assist the enrollment goals of Central Baptist College.
Provide strategic leadership to the financial aid office team to effectively serve prospective and current students and families within all student populations with a high level of customer service in a fast-paced, mission-centered, and fully compliant environment.
Maintain confidentiality of student aid records in compliance with FERPA regulations.
Complete federal, state, and other financial aid reporting
Coordinate the annual awarding of endowed scholarships
Serve on the Scholarship and Registration Committees.
Qualifications/Education
Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred)
5+ years’ business office or financial aid experience in a school setting preferred.
Experience with Campus Anyware or Hubspot is desired.
