Join Principal Financial Group as a Relationship Manager - Retirement Solutions. In our Customer Care area, the Relationship Manager develops deep relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators that are in our 10M - 200M market space in the Detroit, MI area. What You'll Do
The Relationship Manager is the strategic partner to our clients and advisors to provide creative solutions that meet business goals of retention, growth, and retirement readiness. Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with the plan sponsor and the advisor on plan design, investments, retirement readiness, services and new opportunities. Plan level health reviews. Problem solving complex issues. Who You Are
Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required 4+ years retirement industry experience Must become an associated person of Principal Securities, Inc Qualified Plan knowledge strongly preferred (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution) Excellent demonstrated leadership, negotiation, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills required, as well as superior interpersonal, analytical, and oral and written communication skills Must be assertive and entrepreneurial Travel required (25 - 30%), mostly day travel but there will be some overnight travel. Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)
$91000 - $140000 / year Time Off Program
Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Pension Eligible

This role is in the Detroit, MI territory. It is fully remote but you must live in the Detroit area. Job Level
