Overview

Vice President of Communications & Content at FC Cincinnati. Reports to the Chief Marketing Officer. The role will serve as the strategic driver of storytelling inside and outside the club, leading a PR/Media Relations and Digital Content team that delivers timely news and relevant stories to make FCC the go-to source for all things FCC. The position ensures a consistent narrative around FCC with media, staff, partners and fans, and supports enterprise-level initiatives by building relationships with media and local influencers. This role also serves as the day-to-day contact for Integrated Marketing & Communications at Mercy Health Training Center. What You’ll Do

Manage a high-performing Communications & Content team carrying a consistent narrative and telling the FCC story across club and Apple TV MLS Season Pass channels. Serve as the day-to-day corporate communications contact for FC Cincinnati, manage incoming media requests and collaborate with internal leaders and departments to develop messaging and execute media opportunities. Support FCC Partnerships, Community Relations and Lion Ventures with strategic communications planning and execution. Collaborate with Soccer Operations to support team news, player-related communications and content marketing. Participate in leadership meetings and organizational initiatives to ensure consistency of the FCC story internally. Support Enterprise-level initiatives as the organization explores new avenues and opportunities. Maintain ongoing communication with MLS contacts to provide feedback and direction on MLS Season Pass requirements and stay informed on news impacting the club. Foster relationships with other FCC departments to stay informed of new initiatives and support marketing, sales, corporate partnerships, broadcast and business initiatives. Establish and maintain close collaboration with the VP of Integrated Marketing to support cohesive campaign planning and cross-functional execution. Coordinate crisis communications in conjunction with the CMO, senior leadership and key stakeholders in a timely manner. Proactively identify opportunities and conduct strategic media outreach to support FCC goals and strengthen ties with the community. Develop strong relationships with local, national and league media contacts as well as key influencers. Mentor and develop the Comms & Content team, focusing on building and maintaining a world-class group. Support the ongoing evolution of a positive FCC culture internally. Other duties as assigned. Demonstrated ability to develop a forward-looking organizational narrative with an ongoing, consistent story about the team locally, nationally, and globally. Demonstrated ability to build and lead a highly effective team of storytellers delivering high-quality content that supports the club message. Strong relationship-building skills at all levels of an organization, both internally and externally. Proactive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to take fast action without compromising the FCC brand or story. What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. Minimum of 7+ years of related work experience and at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in a senior-level role including budgeting and building/managing a diverse, high-functioning team. Ability to work event-based schedules including nights and weekends. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to partner with executives, athletes and the media. Ability to develop meaningful business relationships with leaders and partners on a foundation of trust and respect. Extensive national/international media contacts; demonstrated ability to place stories preferred. Sports experience is preferred but not required. Ability to work outside regular business hours including weekends and holidays as required by FCC game schedule, events and projects. Why You’ll Love FCC
