Impulse Space . Location: Redondo Beach, CA. Compensation: $105,000 - $155,000 / year. This role is based at our 55k sq ft headquarters in Redondo Beach with opportunities to collaborate at our Mojave test site. Responsibilities

Develop, plan, and execute site facility improvement projects while partnering with engineers, contractors, fabricators, and project stakeholders Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards; provide regular updates on project financials Oversee new construction projects with direct or indirect management through contractors Identify potential risks and challenges associated with facility projects; develop proactive strategies to mitigate and resolve issues Manage third-party vendors and service providers to ensure projects meet contract terms and standards Ensure code compliance and adherence to local and federal regulations Manage sizing, installation, and maintenance of all infrastructure, buildings, HVAC equipment, high power electrical systems, water infrastructure, and grounds Lead project teams, consulting engineers, and contractors through engineering, procurement, construction, and activation Coordinate with utility providers for design/engineering to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure Evaluate existing facilities and systems, identify opportunities for enhancement, and implement improvements to optimize operational efficiency Resolve field questions and conflicts as they arise Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in a related Engineering or Technology field 3+ years of experience in facilities engineering or a related field Experience designing, creating, and managing facilities drawings and layouts Excellent project management and communication skills Ability to analyze complex issues, devise effective solutions, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner Understanding of regulations, codes, and standards governing facility engineering; ensure compliance Primary experience with electrical and power distribution systems ( Experience with plumbing design and operation Knowledge of HVAC operation and design principles Working knowledge of delta/wye transformers, building lighting, construction specifications, and facility grounding Experience with critical power infrastructure including UPS systems, backup generators, ATS, and solar power systems Attention to detail with ability to troubleshoot and repair field issues Preferred Skills and Experience

5+ years of experience with electrical and power distribution systems ( 5+ years of experience with plumbing design and operation Familiarity with cryogenic liquid and high-pressure industrial gas facility systems Familiarity with facility-sized deionized water treatment systems AutoCAD/Revit/Bently or equivalent software – beginner to intermediate Proximity to the building is highly desirable Ability to work extended hours as needed Familiarity with National Electrical Code, ASHRAE, NFPA, and IBC Commitment to environmentally responsible facility design and operation, including energy-efficient solutions Ability to complete complex projects and make independent decisions Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams and manage multiple projects concurrently Additional Information
