The Accounting Manager plays a key role in overseeing and establishing the financial integrity of the organization by developing and implementing efficient accounting systems and procedures. This position ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports, while managing a wide range of critical accounting functions. These include general ledger preparation, financial reporting and analysis, reconciliations, as well as overseeing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll activities. What You’ll Do:

Manage, provide training, and guidance to accounting staff to ensure professional development and adherence to best practices. Manage and optimize accounting systems and procedures, recommending and implementing improvements for efficiency and accuracy. Oversee all accounts receivable (AR) activities, ensuring monthly collection goals are met. Regularly review and update the status of overdue AR invoices. Reconcile Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMA) monthly and submit for Controller review before credit memo posting. Supervise accounts payable (AP) activities, addressing payment issues and ensuring timely processing. Manage payroll activities, resolving payroll-related discrepancies and ensuring timely processing. Perform general bank account reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Maintain and update internal financial reports, providing accurate and timely information to key stakeholders. Oversee and update the general ledger; perform detailed analysis of major accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. Reconcile sales accounts and analyze returns and allowances. Manage fixed asset accounts and ensure proper tracking and reporting. Supervise commission accruals and resolve related issues. Conduct detailed analysis on cost and expense accounts, explaining major variances. Perform additional duties as required to support the finance department and ensure smooth operations. What You’ll Bring:

5+ years of experience in GL closing, account reconciliation, and financial analysis, with at least 2 years in a managerial role. Strong sense of confidentiality and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of financial reporting. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met with high quality. Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience with Sage 100 or similar accounting software. Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems. Job Type: Full Time/Permanent, 100% onsite California Pay Range: $110,000 USD - $135,000 USD The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
