Overview
Senior Credit Analyst - Market Investor CRE role at First Horizon Bank. Location: On site in Tampa, FL, Miami, FL, Orlando, FL or Naples, FL. The Credit Analyst will work directly with the Market Investor Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Management team and provide credit analysis support for commercial real estate loans, including loans to acquire, refinance, and develop income-producing properties. This position will also assist in credit risk management and servicing of existing portfolios, including covenant monitoring, annual servicing, and assessing property/market trends for CRE lending portfolios within the footprint. Responsibilities
Monitor and manage the assigned commercial real estate loan portfolio in collaboration with Portfolio Managers, including timely servicing, tracking covenants, and monitoring property performance against expectations. Analyze and prepare credit approval documentation in the commercial loan system. Ensure accurate reflection of loan terms, collateral, covenants, loan grade inputs, policy exceptions, and credit exposure calculations. Assist in preparing credit analyses and annual reviews, including review/analysis of real estate projects, market information, and financial statements for borrowers and guarantors. Real estate and market analysis will include leases, rent rolls, appraisals, construction budgets, pro formas, etc.; financial statement analysis may include borrower and guarantor tax returns, global real estate schedules, trends, and debt repayment capacity. Ensure accurate calculations and inputs and adherence to CRE policies, procedures, and guidelines. Collaborate with Portfolio Managers and Client Specialists to ensure systems of record are accurate for the loan portfolio. Participate in internal credit conversations with Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, and Credit partners. Engage in special projects and other duties as assigned. Demonstrate ownership in team initiatives, respond flexibly to deadlines, manage multiple assignments, maintain attention to detail, and work independently within the role framework. Ability to manage multiple projects with high attention to detail. Self-starter attitude with intellectual curiosity and the ability to think critically. Strong work ethic, creativity, analytical mindset, organization, and results orientation. Critical thinking with ability to reach conclusions from available information. Strong communication skills and results orientation; ability to work effectively in a team. Accurate typing, spelling, and grammar; proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with nCino is a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports; perform calculations; research and evaluate information to solve problems and achieve goals. Education
Bachelor’s degree required; Real Estate, Finance or Accounting major preferred. At minimum, exposure to real estate, finance, and accounting through coursework or relevant work experience. 2+ years of relevant experience preferred. About Us
