We are seeking a Business Development Manager to evaluate and prioritize new business opportunities within the Critical Materials domain. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams, subject matter experts, customers, and required external partners to design and implement go-to-market (GTM) strategies. Key Responsibilities: Evaluate and prioritize new business opportunities within the Critical Materials domain. Collaborate with internal teams, subject matter experts, customers, and required external partners to design and implement go-to-market (GTM) strategies. Manage and strengthen relationships with existing customers while actively developing relationships with new customers and industry partners. Engage with US Government agencies, including Department of Defense and Department of Energy, on funded projects leveraging Corning technology. Represent Corning by attending key trade shows and events in high-priority segments including Energetic Materials, Rare Earth Elements, and Pharmaceuticals. Formulate and execute actionable plans with measurable objectives and key results (OKRs). Contribute to the development of global pricing and marketing strategies. Analyze and monitor competitive trends and market dynamics. Core Competencies: Demonstrate consistent energy, drive, and enthusiasm in pursuit of business development initiatives and objectives. Ability to sell innovative technical solutions and services and negotiate legal agreements. Skilled at identifying and articulating customer needs. Ability to build business cases for investment in new opportunities. Entrepreneurial mindset, combining business acumen with technical expertise. Strong communication skills. Ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. Experiences/Education - Required: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical industry in customer-facing roles such as sales, business development, product line management, or sales engineering. Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline (STEM). Willingness to travel about 30% of the time. US citizenship required Experiences/Education - Desired: MBA preferred. Previous experience in product line management or innovation. Strong understanding of target industries including Energetic Materials, Rare Earth Elements, and Pharmaceuticals. We offer a competitive salary range of $126,366.00 - $173,753.00 and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
