Position Summary This position will be part of a team responsible for cybersecurity support of Trident’s C4I product infrastructure for one or multiple Department of Defense customers. The employee must have a strong understanding of cybersecurity practices, security hardening, and compliance requirements for both Linux and Windows environments. Duties And Responsibilities Implement, monitor, and maintain cybersecurity controls across Linux and Windows systems supporting C4I products. Support system administrators by validating security settings, ensuring compliance with STIGs, and maintaining system hardening baselines. Perform vulnerability scanning, patch management coordination, and assist in remediation of identified risks. Monitor and maintain endpoint protection, audit logs, and intrusion detection/response tools. Support incident response activities, including triage, documentation, and reporting of cybersecurity events. Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks against DoD and CUI requirements. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for security procedures, risk assessments, and incident handling. Provide recommendations for new security tools, methods, and processes to strengthen the cybersecurity posture of deployed systems. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of related experience (or 6 total years in lieu of a degree). Security+ Certification required; CISSP or CEH is a plus. Experience with applying DISA STIGs and security baselines to Linux and Windows systems. Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity compliance frameworks (RMF, NIST SP 800-53, CUI data handling). Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation (e.g., Nessus, ACAS). Familiarity with endpoint protection, SIEMs, and incident response processes. Working knowledge of networking protocols and their security implications (TCP/IP, DHCP, NTP). Familiarity with virtualization/cloud security (VMWare ESXi, Azure, AWS). Ability to document findings, create security reports, and communicate risk to both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and clear communication abilities. Must be able to receive a government Secret security clearance which requires US citizenship.
