Overview
Manager, External Reporting at Crane NXT is responsible for assisting with the preparation of Crane NXT’s financial statements and external reporting, including quarterly and annual filings on Forms 10-Q and 10-K, and other SEC filings such as 8-Ks. The role will make technical accounting determinations and provide guidance and support to stakeholders across Crane NXT, including projects and acquisitions. This position reports to the Director, External Reporting and interfaces with Legal, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Investor Relations, business unit Finance teams, and the Corporate Controllership team. Responsibilities
Coordinate the preparation of SEC filings by working with corporate department leaders and business unit finance teams to support all disclosures. Perform technical accounting determinations, including research on topics such as revenue recognition, business combinations, and impairment analyses; consult with third-party advisors when necessary to validate findings. Document technical accounting positions in memos and presentations for senior management. Review financial disclosures included in Investor Relations presentations. Coordinate and oversee external audits and certain statutory audits and the annual benefit plan audits. Oversee SOX controls related to financial reporting and corporate accounting. Coordinate quarterly business unit reporting packages, including balance sheet fluctuation analysis. Champion automation, technology, and process improvements to minimize manual effort and increase the speed and accuracy of reporting. Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations: Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, U.S. GAAP standards, and SEC reporting or global equivalents. Ability to research and interpret relevant guidance to facilitate decision making. Advanced technology user; leverages technology to drive process efficiency; experience implementing systems and processes. Motivated, detail-oriented, results-focused with a commitment to continuous improvement. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with associates at varying levels across the company. Experience with Workiva is preferred. Qualifications
BS/BA/BBA (Accounting) with CPA. Pay: The salary range for this role is competitive based on market pricing. Pay is based on factors including experience, qualifications, credentials, and location.
