Component Design Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing daily operations of the design department and maintaining consistent quality design work within the department. Key Responsibilities: Design Team Leadership & Engagement Assigning Estimating Work Assigning Design Work Interface with Production Team Implementing & Auditing Standardized Business Practices Designer Recruiting, Hiring, and Onboarding Designer Discipline and Terminations Designer Productivity Designer Quality Control Customer Service and Standards Communicate Design Issues and Concerns with General Manager and Corporate Design Manager Communicate Design Ideas and Best Practices with General Manager & Corporate Design Manager Work alongside salesperson, customer, and subcontractor to ensure all schedules are met. Expedite and resolve issues as they arise Occasional Travel Other duties as assigned Desired Skills, Knowledge, And Qualifications: 4 years of industry and component design experience. Proficient in industry and supplier software applications. Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or Associate’s Degree required Rough Carpentry, Project Supervision and or Project Manager experience will be considered. Blueprint reading and estimating. CAD and BIM experience is preferred.
