A long-standing, family-owned retailer with nearly 70 years of success is seeking a
General Manager for its Distribution Center . This leader will oversee all aspects of DC operations, ensuring that the facility runs safely, efficiently, and effectively while supporting the company’s continued growth in both retail and e-commerce. What You’ll Do: Lead day-to-day distribution center operations with a focus on productivity, safety, and efficiency.
Develop and implement DC policies, procedures, and process improvements.
Set performance standards, delegate priorities, and ensure accountability across all teams.
Partner with HR to recruit, hire, train, and develop DC employees, ensuring long-term growth opportunities.
Coach, mentor, and identify high-performing employees for leadership development.
Collaborate with the Safety Manager to enforce workplace safety standards and compliance.
Oversee DOT compliance, fleet maintenance, and recordkeeping for all DC-related vehicles and equipment.
Build strong relationships with vendors, internal leadership, and cross-functional teams.
Present capital expenditure needs for DC operations to senior leadership.
Ensure customer service standards are met throughout all supply chain operations.
What We’re Looking For: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business, Retail Management, or related field.
7+ years of experience in distribution, logistics, or supply chain leadership.
Advanced knowledge of warehouse operations, modern warehouse practices, WMS, and compliance standards.
Strong understanding of workplace and warehouse safety regulations, including DOT.
Proven ability to lead change, implement new initiatives, and foster continuous improvement.
Exceptional leadership, organizational, and employee relations skills.
Skilled in Microsoft 365 and industry-related applications.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities.
