As a system administrator on a project supporting the United States Air Force, you will specialize in system and network virtualization and work to modernize and scale USAF infrastructure. You will help monitor performance, turn metrics into actionable insights, and mentor the team as you identify opportunities to improve the network.
Responsibilities
Support the development of a modernized system of systems and continuously improve infrastructure using current technologies and best practices.
Provide customers with insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.
Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network; translate metrics into actionable information.
Lead and mentor teammates; help the team develop new methodologies and modernize the network.
Explore areas such as Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), artificial intelligence, and data visualization.
You Have
Experience developing and implementing virtualization solutions
Knowledge of virtual machines, virtual private networks, and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) capabilities
Ability to deliver solutions throughout the project cycle
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in an IT field
Security+ Certification
Nice If You Have
Experience implementing ZTA capabilities
Knowledge of HCI, Red Hat, Cisco, Windows, and Link 16
Ability to lead project teams onsite
Database Administration or Operating Systems Certifications
Clearance Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
Compensation Salary range is provided as part of the posting and varies by location and the candidate’s education, knowledge, skills, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD).
