Software Architect

MTSI is seeking a highly capable Software Architect/Engineer with a proven track record of collaboration within cross-functional software teams.
Key Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant experience; 8+ years preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead, plan, and delegate tasks on major autonomy software development efforts. Experience developing autonomous systems software for Group 4/5 UAS platforms. Comfortable working in consortium environments with government and contractor partners; strong communication and collaboration skills required. Experienced in remote/distributed team settings. Advanced problem-solving skills and technical leadership abilities. Proficiency in multiple programming languages strongly preferred. Broad understanding of software disciplines, including database design, content management systems, and enterprise service bus architecture. Background in complex military system software development, including systems-of-systems integration and modernization of legacy platforms. Familiarity with simulation tools such as AFSIM (Analysis Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling) and JSE (Joint Simulation Environment). Working knowledge of systems engineering principles, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML. Experience with autonomy systems and their integration, including adherence to interface standards like OMS/UCI, NATO STANAGs, and MIL-STDs. Preferred: Knowledge of airworthiness, flight safety protocols, and integration of software with real-world military systems. Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Software Development, or a related field required. Equivalent experience and/or certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree. Security Clearance:
Active TOP SECRET with SCI eligibility is required. U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for this role. About MTSI:
