Your Role at Baxter We are seeking an experienced Software Test Automation Architect to design, develop, and implement comprehensive test automation strategies for our medical devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining a robust test automation framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the highest quality of our software products. What You'll Be Doing Craft and develop a scalable, maintainable, and efficient test automation framework using industry-standard tools and technologies (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber) and all levels of design phases, including: UX, UI, and SW. Collaborate with cross-functional teams with the development of a modern, Test-Driven Development approach to elaborating requirements and defining software requirements. Collaborate with development teams to integrate test automation into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring seamless testing and deployment. Develop and maintain a comprehensive test automation strategy, aligning with business objectives and technical requirements. Design and implement modular, reusable, and maintainable test automation components, leveraging object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. Develop and maintain a test data management system, ensuring efficient data creation, storage, and retrieval. Design and implement a robust test automation reporting framework, providing actionable insights and metrics. Collaborate with multi-functional teams, including development, QA, and product management, to ensure test automation aligns with business objectives and technical requirements. Communicate technical vision, strategy, and progress to team members, ensuring transparency and alignment. Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical guidance and support. Establish best-practices for Test-Driven Development to enable CI/CD. Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance test automation efficiency, effectiveness, and maintainability. Develop and maintain test automation standards, guidelines, and best practices, ensuring consistency and quality. Identify and prioritize test automation opportunities, ensuring alignment with business objectives. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in software test automation, with a focus on architecture and design. Proven track record of delivering high-quality test automation solutions, with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and efficiency. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#. Experience in test-driven development. Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or TestNG. Knowledge of agile development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with version control systems such as Git. Experience with test data management and reporting tools. Experience with IEC 60601-1 testing of medical device software is strongly preferred. Baxter is committed to supporting the needs for flexibility in the workplace. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $128,000 - $176,000 annually.
