As a Sr. Data Scientist, you\u2019ll play a key role in unlocking insights and building advanced machine learning models to drive fiber network growth, optimize deployment strategies, and support strategic business decisions. This is a hybrid work environment, with three days in the office. What You’ll Do

Design, build, and deploy end-to-end machine learning and statistical models that accelerate fiber growth and improve financial performance. Extract, clean, and model large, complex datasets using advanced programming and statistical techniques. Define and frame business problems in mathematical terms\u2014such as identifying underperforming market segments, optimizing penetration strategies, and analyzing fiber user behavior. Develop and continuously improve penetration permutation models, along with challenger models to test and enhance performance. Monitor key performance indicators through real-time cohort-level dashboards and scorecards, enabling fast, data-informed decisions. Incorporate geographic and partner-level variations (including JV and Wholesale) into modeling to ensure accurate regional cost optimization. Collaborate with cross-functional teams\u2014including engineering, finance, marketing, and leadership\u2014to drive alignment between data insights and business strategy. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively using clear visualizations, presentations, and storytelling techniques. What You Bring

4 a0t 7 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or ML engineering, including building and deploying predictive models in production environments. Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation, modeling, and visualization. Experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Kafka. Strong foundation in statistics, probability, linear algebra, and calculus. Proven ability to frame complex business problems into analytical solutions and translate insights into actionable business recommendations. Experience in telecommunications or fiber infrastructure is highly preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and a high degree of cross-functional interaction. Excellent communication skills\u2014both written and verbal\u2014with the ability to tailor technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Nice to Have

Hands-on experience developing deep learning models. Familiarity with fiber network planning, deployment strategies, or telecom business metrics. Advanced data visualization skills using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Python-based libraries. Education

BachelorS Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics) required. MasterS Degree or higher in a related field preferred. At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States Compensation and Benefits

Base Pay Range: $106,000 - $191,100 Corporate Bonus Target: 15% The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The actual starting pay will vary based on location, qualifications, and experience. At T-Mobile, employees in regular roles are eligible for an annual bonus or other performance-based incentives.
