Overview
Senior Associate, New Verticals - Grocery Merchant & Operations. This role is part of the Grocery Strategy & Operations team. The position is based in New York or San Francisco, with a hybrid in-office/remote work model and travel to collaborate with colleagues across offices. Responsibilities
Strategize. From first principles, develop the optimal strategy for best serving our customers. Operate. Own tracking dashboards and manage week over week metrics to drive high quality operations. Analyze. Build models using Excel and SQL to evaluate the economic, operational and strategic costs and benefits of various programs and experiments. Experiment. Transform strategies into operational experiments that create measurable and actionable outcomes. Build. Influence DoorDash’s next big business by launching new products, improving incrementally, and scaling something new—from high-level strategy to operational details. Lead, collaborate and influence. Partner with and influence cross-functional teams including growth, quality, design, marketing, partnerships and product to build and scale the Grocery business. Qualifications
You have 2-4+ years of experience in highly analytical, cross-functional environments (e.g., tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or related fields). You are an owner. You seek to improve work product and own outcomes. You are entrepreneurial. You bias action and can build from the ground up. You’re analytical. You rely on data, can pull data in SQL, and build models in Excel. You solve problems from first principles. You translate high-level goals into actionable plans and implement processes. You can operate at both high-level and detailed levels, and you are comfortable getting into the weeds when needed. You thrive in ambiguity and startup environments, adapting to rapid change and learning. You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree. Compensation & Benefits
The national base pay range for this position in the United States is $78,200—$115,000 USD. Base salary is localized by work location and may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, this role offers equity opportunities.
