Overview

HR Director at High Performance Alloys, Inc. We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance professional to fill the Director of Quality and Compliance role. This person will oversee all aspects of quality management across our high-strength metal manufacturing and distribution operations. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with ISO standards, ASTM specifications, and customer requirements, while driving continuous improvement and building a strong culture of quality throughout the organization. Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies and procedures specific to metal manufacturing and distribution. Lead inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to verify conformance to specifications. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001-2015, ASTM, OSHA, and other applicable industry standards. Manage internal and external audits, customer quality reviews, and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) processes. Oversee calibration and maintenance of testing and measurement equipment. Train and mentor QA staff, inspectors, and production personnel on quality systems and best practices. Collaborate with production, engineering, and logistics teams to resolve quality issues and reduce scrap/rework. Collect, analyze, and report quality data to track KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as the primary liaison with customers on quality-related matters, including certifications, documentation, and claims. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2+ years of quality assurance experience in a high-strength metal manufacturing, fabrication, or distribution environment. Strong knowledge of metallurgy, material properties, and testing methods (tensile, hardness, non-destructive testing, etc.). Experience with ISO 9001-2015, AS9100, ASTM standards, and OSHA requirements. Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in QA software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Pay and Benefits
