Overview
The Regional Director of Growth is responsible for leading a team of Liaisons across Texas to expand access to Nexus Health Systems’ programs, including behavioral health, chronic illness and serious injury rehabilitation, and specialized spinal and brain injury services. This role oversees payer, referral source, and child welfare organization relationships, drives market engagement through a data-driven strategy, and ensures effective territory planning to meet and exceed growth objectives. The Director will guide the team through challenges, analyze performance metrics, and ensure Nexus achieves targeted outcomes while remaining aligned with our mission of serving patients with complex needs. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Market Leadership: design and implement quarterly growth strategies and territory assignments to achieve referral and admission targets; leverage data and market insights to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for expansion; conduct competitive and referral analysis to guide decision-making and maintain market leadership. Relationship Development: build, strengthen, and maintain relationships with payers, case managers, child welfare organizations, and referral partners to expand access and increase program awareness; represent Nexus at conferences, professional seminars, and community events to promote services; collaborate with internal clinical, medical, admissions, and program leaders to align outreach strategies with patient needs. Team Leadership: lead, mentor, and hold accountable a team of liaisons, ensuring effective execution of growth strategies; provide training, tools, and ongoing support to ensure the team excels in relationship management and referral development; facilitate regular team meetings to review performance, share insights, and foster collaboration. Operational Excellence: ensure accurate and timely reporting of activities, progress, and challenges to executive leadership; oversee the adoption and effective use of CRM systems for referral tracking and reporting; collaborate with Managed Care Services to identify and cultivate payer opportunities; manage growth initiatives in a cost-effective, compliant manner. Program Advancement: partner with facility leadership to design and implement targeted outreach for specific diagnoses and specialized programs; support efforts to deliver timely patient evaluations and family/payor/referral source meetings when needed; provide input to the organizational growth budget and resource allocation planning. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Clinical licensure (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LMSW, RN, OT, PT, SLP, or equivalent) preferred. Experience: Minimum three (3) years in healthcare business development, case management, or referral development; strong background in relationship management and client services within healthcare; knowledge of insurance, Medicaid, and child welfare funding streams; experience with child welfare organizations, community-based agencies, hospitals, and other providers strongly preferred; proven ability to develop territory growth strategies and execute market expansion plans. Skills & Competencies: exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust across diverse stakeholders; analytical and strategic thinker adept at interpreting market data to drive decision-making; strong leadership with accountability, mentorship, and team performance; self-starter with critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Requires travel throughout Texas to engage with referral sources, payers, and child welfare organizations. May involve standing, walking, and attending events or facility tours.
