Deputy Director – Employment and Skills (Project Development)
Join the team at Groundwork NE & Cumbria as a Deputy Director – Employment and Skills (Project Development). The role is full-time, 36.25 hours per week, with a pattern of work from Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm, including a 45-minute unpaid lunch break. The position is based in the Wigan Office, with hybrid working available. The salary is £43,874 – £48,451 per year, and the contract is permanent, subject to funding and performance. We are seeking a visionary leader to drive social impact through employment and skills innovation. The successful candidate will lead high-impact bid development, secure sustainable income, and mobilize projects that change lives. The key responsibilities of this role include: Leading regional growth in one of the UK’s most respected social enterprises Driving innovation in employment and training programs Collaborating with VCFSEs, education providers, and local authorities Enjoying flexible working, generous leave, and a supportive culture Groundwork CLM is committed to safeguarding children and adults at risk.
