Director of Supply Chain

Job Overview The Director of Supply Chain is a key leadership position in our organization, managing our end-to-end supply chain operations. The position requires a proven track record in optimizing supply chain functions, driving efficiency improvements, and implementing best practices. The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring the seamless flow of goods, services, and information from suppliers to customers while aligning with company goals and ensuring cost-effectiveness, high service levels, and risk mitigation. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) is highly preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing a team of supply chain professionals. Deep knowledge of the Industrial Supply market, suppliers, and best practices Strong leadership and team management capabilities. In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, best practices, and industry trends. Exceptional negotiation and vendor management skills. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Knowledge of logistics, inventory control, and distribution strategies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Strategic thinker with a focus on long-term objectives. Results-oriented and highly organized. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Daily Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with company objectives, ensuring the efficient movement of products from suppliers to customers. Leadership & Team Management: Manage and mentor the supply chain team. Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture within the department. Supplier Management: Oversee supplier relationship management, negotiation of contracts, and performance evaluation to ensure high-quality, cost-effective products and services. Build strong partnerships with key suppliers and vendors. Deliver Cost Savings Value: Oversee and implement cost savings initiatives that bring value to our customers and US Tool. Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions and address potential supply chain risks such as natural disasters, vendor issues, and regulatory changes. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain to optimize processes and improve overall performance. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Operations, to ensure alignment of supply chain functions with broader business goals. Compliance & Sustainability: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Promote sustainability initiatives by evaluating environmentally friendly alternatives in sourcing and logistics. Physical Requirements
