Geneva Lake Conservancy has partnered with Lindauer in the search for a visionary Executive Director who will lead the organization through its next phase of growth and impact. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and strategic leader with demonstrated experience in land conservation, organizational management, and stakeholder engagement. This role offers the unique opportunity to combine hands-on conservation work with high-level strategic leadership in one of Wisconsin's most dynamic conservation organizations. Key responsibilities Finalize and implement a strategic plan for land and water conservation, advocacy, and community engagement Lead land protection efforts including acquisitions, donations, and conservation easements Advocate for the Water Alliance for Preserving Geneva Lake and support implementation of the Geneva Lake Management Plan Build and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to support organizational growth Serve as organizational spokesperson and advocate for responsible land use policies Manage staff, oversee financial operations, and ensure compliance with Land Trust Alliance standards Represent the organization at state, national, and regional conservation events Lead the organization's Land Trust Alliance reaccreditation process Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Minimum of 5 years of successful senior-level leadership experience in a nonprofit of similar complexity and size Demonstrated record of consistent growth and impact; experience with land trusts or conservation organizations preferred Strategic, collaborative leader known for building trust-based relationships and positive workplace culture Proven ability to work effectively with passionate Board of Directors Excellent financial analysis skills and budget management experience Strong writing, verbal, and public speaking skills with demonstrated community presence Deep commitment to working with diverse communities Familiarity with development technology and donor database management software Why Geneva Lake Conservancy?
